AWARD provides two chatbot services to help users quickly find information and resolve common issues:
- Portia - Login and access support
- AWARD Assistant (Help-bot) - General AWARD guidance and support
Each chatbot is designed for a specific purpose and should be used for the types of enquiries outlined below.
Portia
What is Portia?
Portia is the chatbot available on the AWARD login page. It is designed to help users resolve common login and access issues and provide guidance on accessing the platform.
What can Portia help with?
Portia can assist with:
- Login issues
- Password-related guidance
- Account access queries
- Common support questions relating to accessing AWARD
What can't Portia do?
Portia cannot:
- Create user accounts
- Grant access to AWARD
- Override security controls
- Provide access to users who do not already have a valid account
Data and Privacy
Conversations with Portia are recorded within our internal support systems to help resolve issues and improve the support experience. Access to these conversations is restricted to authorised members of the support team and is not shared with external organisations.
Where personal information is required to assist with an enquiry, users will be informed before providing this information.
AWARD Assistant (Help-bot)
What is AWARD Assistant?
AWARD Assistant is an AI-powered support chatbot designed to help users with general questions about AWARD and how to use the platform.

Where is AWARD Assistant located:
You can find AWARD Assistant at the bottom right hand of your AWARD Screen. There's nothing you need to set up or switch on.
What can AWARD Assistant help with?
AWARD Assistant can assist with:
- General AWARD enquiries
- Guidance on using AWARD features and functionality
- Help navigating the platform
- Information contained within the AWARD knowledge base
- Common questions about processes and system usage
What can't AWARD Assistant do?
AWARD Assistant cannot:
- Access individual user accounts
- Access any data in your account
- Answer account-specific enquiries
- Access or discuss project-specific information
- Retrieve information from sources outside the approved AWARD knowledge base
How does AWARD Assistant work?
AWARD Assistant uses OpenAI technology through our enterprise agreement together with the AWARD knowledge base.
Responses are generated using information contained within approved AWARD support documentation and knowledge articles. The assistant does not search the public internet when responding to user questions.
Data and Privacy
Information entered into AWARD Assistant is processed through our enterprise OpenAI environment to generate responses. Under our enterprise agreement, submitted information is not used to train public AI models or for purposes outside the delivery of the service.
Users should not enter account-specific, project-specific, confidential or sensitive information into AWARD Assistant.

Both chatbots are designed to provide guidance and support based on the information available to them.
While every effort is made to ensure responses are accurate and up to date, chatbot responses should be treated as guidance. If you require assistance with a specific account, project, or access issue, please contact the AWARD support team.
